HALO Lights Up the South: Kyper Co-Signs Jackson’s Newest EDM Movement
By Jack Ryder (writer for the Drop)

When the lights dimmed and the bass dropped at the Kyper after party @Club HALO something electric happened — and the ripple effect is still spreading as people are talking all the way from New Orleans.

Following a packed house and an unforgettable after party, iconic artist KYPER (Pictured Right) had this to say:

“Man, I think you really got something here. I travel a lot, and I haven’t seen anything like this since the old days of South Side and Aliens. I really want to help you and be a part of this vision.”
Kyper went on to express he wanted to produce regular shows at the Venue.

That kind of praise doesn’t come easy. So I sat down with David Herrington, the mind behind HALO, to ask what that moment meant to him.

“Honestly?” Herrington said, visibly moved. “I was blown away. To hear that from someone like Kyper — someone who’s been everywhere and seen it all — it just validated everything I’ve worked toward.”

Herrington went on to explain that HALO was never just about throwing parties — it was about building a movement, creating a place where artists and music lovers could come together and feel something real.

“I’ve carried this vision for a long time,” he said. “Not everyone could see it. But my team stuck with me, believed in me, and kept showing up. If HALO is becoming something special, it’s because of them. I owe all the credit to the people who never gave up on the dream.”

With that kind of energy — and co-signs from legends like Kyper — HALO is shaping up to be more than a venue. It’s becoming the new heart of Mississippi’s electronic music scene.
